Allow me to introduce myself
With 20+ years in leadership and human development, I’ve spent my career helping people and teams grow, connect, and thrive. In my time leading global teams and driving big-picture strategies, one piece of feedback kept showing up—often with surprise:
“Thank you for being human.”
What they meant was this: I took the time to see them. To listen. To speak plainly, even when the conversation was tough. I didn’t hide behind corporate jargon or scripted leadership language—I connected with them as people. That made all the difference.
And that’s the heart of Better To Be Human.
Today, I help leaders and organizations develop human-centered leadership skills that build connection, trust, and courage at work. Through coaching, training, and facilitation, I support people in navigating uncomfortable conversations, building stronger teams, and leading with clarity and compassion.
I’m an ICF-certified coach and a master practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, blending science-backed tools with real-world experience.
Whether I’m working with a rising leader or a seasoned executive, my goal is the same: to help you lead in a way that makes people say, “Thank you for being human.”
Because leadership isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being real.
When you have a choice to be a robot leader or a human leader – my hope is that you always pick to be a human leader.
Because it’s…
Communication
Friendliness
Trustworthiness
Bonney's Picks
I’m a lifelong learner—and that doesn’t just mean leadership books. Growth starts with ourselves, and I believe the more grounded we are, the more powerfully we can show up for others. That’s why I explore a range of resources: books, podcasts, and articles that speak to self-awareness, resilience, and everyday human development.
This space is where I share what’s resonating with me. It’s a living list—always evolving as I discover new insights.
Not everything will land the same for everyone, and that’s okay. Take what you need, leave the rest, and feel free to come back when the timing feels right.
